At 7800 pounds and powered by a 33 horsepower Diesel Cat C1.8 engine, the Caterpillar 303.5E2 is a mid-sized mini excavator built for all but the biggest jobs. The machine has an extended boom that can reach horizontally to 16’9" and dig vertically to 7’8". It also has a thumb and a leveling blade, and can be fitted with a 12" or 24" bucket. Rugged but low profile, the 303.5E2 is ideal for general excavation work around home or building site including digging footers or foundations and trenches for water, sewer, drainage, or power lines.
