Share "Portable Toilet Rental Tips"
If you’re planning an event or a gathering of a large group of people, then renting a portable toilet can make things go much smoother. A portable toilet can be extremely handy if the existing facilities are not designed for the volume of people expected. They are also a must have, regardless of the number of people, in situations where there is no existing are functional plumbing. A construction site or an otherwise remote location is a good example. Some things to keep in mind as you determine your needs for a portable toilet rental are as follows:
- In order to figure out how many toilets will be needed, you need to first determine a couple things. Estimate how long the event will be running, and then factor in the number of guests that are expected. A general rule of thumb is 1 portable toilet for every 10 people.
- Placement is key. This can be affected by the type of event you are having. For large events such as festivals or fairs, the majority of the portable toilets should be placed in the most densely populated area. For smaller events such as parties and outdoor gatherings, having them placed away from the main area, yet not too far out of the way, is best. You don’t want the toilets to intrude on the decor, but a few thoughtfully placed signs directing people towards them may be helpful. As a general rule, it doesn’t take long for most people to figure out where these things are.
- Have a clear idea of your budget when renting portable toilets. Upgrades are nice and the fancier amenities can go a long way in making your guests happy, but if that means cutting one toilet out of the budget to accommodate the amenities, then leaving guests standing in line because of a toilet shortage can be counterproductive. In short, don’t stray from the estimated number needed just to add amenities.
- Be sure to obtain any necessary permits that may be required for portable toilets within public venues.
